foundation,the Dutch Caribbean Nature
Alliance (DCNA) is the umbrella organization for the parks in the Dutch Caribbean.
DCNA supports nature conservation activities of national and local institutions
which are responsible for the conservation of nature, species and or management
of protected areas and other areas of high natural value in the Dutch Caribbean.
DCNA places special emphasis on fund raising and otherwise strengthening the management of the protected areas within Dutch Caribbean. DCNA headquarters are located in downtown Kralendijk on the Dutch Caribbean island of Bonaire.
St.
Maarten PRIDE Foundation
St. Maarten PRIDE Foundation is an environmental awareness and anti-littering
foundation dedicated to the protection, conservation and proper management of
St. Maarten’s natural resources, its ecological and environmental functions
as well as the safeguarding of man-made monuments in order to retain the integrity
of St. Maarten’s history, culture and natural environment. Contact info:

Environmental
Protection in the Caribbean (EPIC)
EPIC, Inc. was established in 2000 in the United States as a registered non-profit
organization. EPIC St. Maarten was formed in 2007 and is the Foundation for Environmental
Education and Blue Flag coordinator for the island. EPIC’s mission is to
protect the Caribbean environment through research and community based action.
Projects have included bird research, wetland restoration and conservation, and
environmental outreach and education.
Emilio
Wilson Estate Foundation
The Emilio Wilson Estate Foundation (EWEF) is a non-governmental, non-profit
organization dedicated to the protection and conservation of the Emilio Wilson
Estate. The Foundation’s mission statement reads as follows: The protection,
conservation and preservation of the entire Emilio Wilson Estate and all associated
man-made as well as natural monuments in order to maintain the integrity of St.
Maarten’s history, culture and natural environment for the benefit of present
and future generations.
The
Sint Maarten National Heritage Foundation
The Sint Maarten National Heritage Foundation, established in 1993, is a non-profit
foundation with the following objectives: The day to day running and maintenance
of the Sint Maarten Museum; The development of existing and new exhibitions of
the Museum; The protection and promotion of nature, natural monuments, culture
and environment; The protection of historical architecture and sites; The promotion
of archaeological and historical research; Organizing monthly nature activities.
The Sint Maarten National Heritage Foundation office and the Museum are located
at Front Street 7 in Philipsburg. Opening hours are from Monday to Friday 10

Caribbean Foundation for Sustainability
founded in April 2007, is a non-profit foundation that promotes sustainability in the Caribbean especially in St. Maarten. The foundation seeks cooperation with schools, other environmental NGOs and government to highlight important issues of sustainability like alternative energy, water and energy conservation, climate change and awareness projects about innovations that can help us with a more balanced development.
